Sometimes we explore riffs and move them about, we also use visual stimuli, like this table full of objects we used as a starting point for an impro. We can also use movement, or different ways to group ourselves, in the dark, with or without instruments, with a plan or limitation (only 2 notes each; stop singing whenever you walk on a crack in the floor; leave gaps etc.) or with no plan. It is great fun and can be therapeutic as well.
